What’s most helpful is that feet are never dangling (the footrest is adjustable, and can be removed when feet reach the floor). A study was even done at Cornell University that showed that preschoolers sit with less distraction, and function better when seated in this chair! You can purchase the baby rail with harness (necessary for babies just sitting up and new to feeding) separately, as well as cushions for added comfort. This eliminates the need for a traditional highchair altogether. And you can choose from different wood finishes and colors. We love ours, and will use it for many years to come!
